You know those pesky Google ads that show up on many a blog out there? I tend to not look at them usually -- but recently one for Chloe & Jane caught my eye. Born in the kitchen in January 2007 by Wendy and Laura, two girlfriends committed to friendship and relaxation, the line is created with the spa-goer in mind. Whether you've never been and want to start or you go weekly, Chloe & Jane is made for you. Best of all, the products are eco-conscious, all-natural and use recyclable packaging! I was privileged to have the chance to try out a few products from the line recently, and I must say I am totally in love with them all. But here are the two that really stand out above the rest.
Pure Sugar Body Polish ($20 each): Buffing and exfoliating is something I try to do regularly, but more often than not it falls by the wayside. I think to myself, "I'll buff tonight!" and end up falling into bed and zonking out before I get the chance. But now that I've discovered this tub, I definitely need to make the time to exfoliate. First of all, the polish smells amazing. (I tried it in the First Bloom scent, which is infused with jasmine and grapefruit for a tangy-yet-blossomy aroma.) As soon as I opened the tub, this fantastic scent just wafted out and made me eager to slather the scrub all over myself! But I decided to start by just massaging some into my hands -- which, with the onset of freezing temperatures, have definitely been taking a beating. Immediately, my hands began to feel softer and smoother, and remnants of the cold days began to disappear. When I finally rinsed the traces of polish from my skin, I was amazed at how baby-soft it felt! Pure cane sugar (to exfoliate and revive skin), shea butter (to moisturize and heel), sunflower seed oil (to nourish and condition), and sweet almond oil (to smooth and soften) are all found here, making the end result completely wonderful. I wholeheartedly recommend trying it -- your skin will thank you for sure.
Finishing off with the Body Butter in Lavender Sage ($22) kept my skin soft and smooth for hours, while the heady scent made me drift off to Never Never Land quicker than I had in weeks! Both of these are definitely now staples in my beauty arsenal.
