Most gals can agree that eyeshadow is somewhat of a necessity. How often do you walk out of the house without sweeping on at least a tad? But the runways at Fall 2009 Fashion Week upped the eyeshadow quotient by about a mile. The look? Two-tone eyeshadow. Whether models sported one color on the top and another on the bottom as at Giambattista Valli (seen at left), or two blending into each other on the lids, this look was all over the runways. Check out the proof after the jump.
A heavy smoky eye is accented with a shot of electric blue in the inner corners at Versace
Rose shadow on the browbone and charcoal grey on the lid, both blended toward the outer corner and swept in a line toward the cheekbone, at Gucci
Rose shadow pairs with deep creamy charcoal and pale lips at Marc Jacobs
John Galliano tends toward the theatrical as always, this time with baby blue shadow and goldenrod accents in the center of the eyelids
A tiny shot of blue lends vibrancy to a smoky eye at Dsquared
Shimmery purple with glistening silvery inner corners at Christian Dior
