Purple Lab Huge Lips, Skinny Hips: The Answer on This Girl's Lips!

I'm a sucker for a great-tasting, great-looking lipgloss. So when I came across Purple Lab's Huge Lips, Skinny Hips, I simply couldn't pass up the chance to see whether this would make its way into my regular gloss rotation. And you know what? It totally passes the test.

Huge Lips, Skinny Hips was created by the gorgeous and fun Karen Robinovitz. (Side note: do you follow her on Twitter? If not, you can do so here.) She created this line of six wearable glosses after asking many of her makeup artist friends what they'd want to see in their makeup kits. (Great idea, right?) Each of the six quirky, sexy colors is named after Karen's personal philosophies and icons:

Kitty Poledancer (a sexy, sultry nude named for Karen's love of poledancing)
Red Sole (a strong, shocking red inspired by Christian Louboutin's famous red soles)
Lychee Martini (a whitish peach named for Karen's favorite fruit)
No Panty Lines (a clear gloss that makes you remember to check for those annoying panty lines under your dress!)
Love Your Thighs (a reddish peach that reminds you to love your body no matter what)
Worship Kate (a gorgeous mulberry inspired by Karen's love of supermodel Kate Moss)

Let's start with the fact that it smells and tastes unbelievably fantastic. It's got this fruity aroma that just perks me up all day long. Then let's talk about how amazingly glossy your lips will look with just a light coat. Ingredients like Vitamin E, meadowfoam, lemon and orange peels and Vitamin B3 make your pout juicy and totally moisturized. Add to that the plumping effect with none of that annoying stingy-ness found in most plumpers, and that does it -- sign me up immediately!

My fave shade is Kitty Poledancer, a pretty light peach with just the tiniest amount of shimmer. It's perfect for everyday on its own or over a creamy lipstick for night.

Huge Lips, Skinny Hips retails for $20. You can find it at the Space NK boutiques in Bloomingdale's stores.
