I love a red lip, but most of the time I think it's too tough for me to pull off. (I know Poppy King would have my head for saying that, but it's true!) So I'm totally loving Eve's less involved take on the look at Vogue's one-year anniversary party for the 3.1 Phillip Lim store in LA this week. Her glossy, sheer, juicy red pout is a touch less bold than the classic red lip but no less dramatic!
Get the look with Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Gloss in Sailor ($20). This see-through, super-sheer gloss will literally give you an exact duplicate of the color you see on Eve! Apply two coats for maximum staying power.
Finish with a coat of M.A.C Clear Lipglass ($14). Slick it over the red lip and not only will you achieve the high-gloss sheen, but your color will stay put!

The idea of a see through gloss that has such a vibrant color is so much fun! I also am a little hesitant on wearing red lipstick in fear that I can't pull off the look very well. But with clear gloss I think it becomes less intimidating and more applicable.
