Well, wow. There's really no other word to describe Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester's unbelievably heavy makeup at the American Eagle Outfitters flagship store opening in Times Square this week. The mountains of bluish-purple shadow around her eyes, anchored by copper on the lids and finished with a bright red mouth? I'm really not feeling it. It just feels way too space age-y for my taste.

Ma'am that's a Nay for me... whoever decided to apply this look should have thought it through a bit more... it looks messy and just completely out of place with the deep red lips... try again Leighton this time with a makeup artist that genuinely cares about your appearance...

I would say NAY! But, this look seems to go with her singer persona - and is suitable for a music video, not a store opening. Especially not AMERICAN EAGLE, I mean that's totally not their image.
The lips I like. The eye makeup not so much. I've never liked that under the eyelid shadow look. She looks like she's got two black eyes.
Don't like the eye makeup, it's too much for her, especially with those red lips.
I say YAY, I love heavy makeup and risk takers, The vampiresque look is sexy when done right, love it!She's got a pretty face, utilize!
