Mani of the Week: OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em

I'm a little late in posting my manicure this week, but that's because -- gasp! -- I went polish free for a couple days. I have to admit, looking down at my bare nails was a shock and made me feel like my outfit wasn't complete. No way could I do that on a regular basis! Finally, I picked OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em, from Spring 2011's Texas Collection, to tide me over until the weekend.

I'm a bit torn on this one. I absolutely love the saturated hot pink hue and the exquisite jelly finish. But I had multiple application issues, from it being too runny to too streaky to too sheer. Each nail is different in terms of coats, ranging from two to four depending on coverage. I also thought the brush was just a little too wide for this polish, and caused a lot more dragging along the cuticles than any other polish I've used recently.

All that being said, I really do love the color -- it's unique in my collection and will definitely look good on toes during the summer!
