Yellow Nail Polish Comparison Swatches: NARS 15 Minutes and Deborah Lippmann Yellow Brick Road

NARS, Deborah Lippmann, NARS Andy Warhol Collection, NARS 15 Minutes, Deborah Lippmann Yellow Brick Road, nails, nail polish, swatches, comparison swatches, nail lacquer, nail varnish, manicure
Two nail polishes named after icons. Two of the most iconic things in the world, honestly! And they're both yellow, which just made me need to do a comparison post for you. On the left, we have NARS 15 Minutes, from the brand's new Andy Warhol collection. On the right, we have Deborah Lippmann Yellow Brick Road ($16 at beauty.com), named after the famed road in The Wizard of Oz.

Interestingly, these nail polishes look incredibly similar in the bottle, but absolutely different on the nail. 15 Minutes is creamy (although a bit streaky, even with the two coats seen here) and a vibrant, sunny yellow. Yellow Brick Road is actually really sheer when applied -- even after four coats, it still wasn't completely covering the nail.

I'm not loving the way either color looks on my skin tone, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with 15 Minutes. I think the formula is better and actually shows up on the nail in only one coat, while it takes a lot of work for Yellow Brick Road to do anything interesting.

What do you think of these colors? Do you need to have them in your collection?
