#ManiMonday: Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy

Happy Monday, everyone! Did you all have a wonderful weekend? I did -- I went home to Cleveland to support my old community theater (Beachwood Community Theater) and see their production of Willy Wonka, with music direction by my very own mom! Alas, now it's time to get back into the daily grind ... but I'm giving myself a little fun start to the week with Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy.

I had been considering purchasing this polish for awhile, and I finally got it on Birchbox last week with my points! (Side note: if you're not already a Birchbox subscriber, you really need to be. $10 a month to try 4-5 products, plus 10 points per review of the products in your box that you can convert into dollars used in their shop? Sold.)

But I digress. I'm not sure if I applied Let's Go Crazy wrong or something, but I am definitely not seeing as many sparkles and glitter particles as most swatches online. But I'm still definitely in love with the deep wine/eggplant/plum hybrid of the rich purple base. I actually think it's pretty similar to one of my favorite polishes from last year, NARS Fury.

If I could get more of the multicolored, multi-sized glitter pieces to shine through, I would love it even more! Maybe I just need to try rolling or shaking the bottle more, or just pour some out onto a plate and apply more meticulously. I do, however, like the fact that the texture is smooth instead of gritty -- always appreciated with a glitter polish!
