The last time I wrote about Lacquer Queen, I brought you the wonderfulness that is Maleficent. Well, this fabulous little Etsy shop has gone and done it again with Angel Baby, a color changing nail polish that will have you doing nothing but staring at your nails for days on end!

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I first received this polish. Color changing? Really? How would that work? WOULD it work? Well, I'm here to tell you that it DOES. It's supposed to change from pink to purple with heat, though I've found it changes at a moment's notice (even if my hands are the same temperature). It's pretty fun to sit and watch your nails go from pale pink to deep purple -- it's a lot like the mood rings I used to wear in the 90's! (Side note: mine were always, ALWAYS blue.)

As a matter of fact, as I'm typing this, the color is scattered throughout my nails -- some are still completely pink, some are completely purple and some are an interesting mix of both, which creates a beautiful ombre effect. Here's a closer look at the different colors you can expect...

Completely pink. Very girly and feminine.

Deep purple. I love that it matches the bottle exactly!

A mix of both pink and purple. It was really fun to watch my thumb transform!

The formula is a bit on the thin side, so I recommend applying three thin coats for full coverage. I really love the holographic glitter particles -- they add so much depth to the color. This polish dries matte, which is pretty, but I added a coat of Seche Vite for a glossy finish.

If you really want to have some fun with your nails, this color is definitely worth trying. At the very least, you'll have something to look at when you're bored!

Lacquer Queen Color Changing Nail Polish in Angel Baby retails for $13.95 at etsy.com.
