Really, just look at that beautiful color. China Glaze has really outdone themselves. In The Giver, release is something that at first seems so serene and peaceful but ends up hiding something completely different beneath the surface. That's how I feel about China Glaze Release -- although it's beautiful no matter what! The muted mauve/grey/taupe hybrid changes depending on the light, and seems to be hiding something special just for you to find.

This is one of those shades that just speaks to me. I consider it a neutral, and it definitely looks good with everything (and I mean everything). The formula is also PERFECT. Two coats yield glossy, completely opaque color with no streaks or brushstrokes. The brush is a little difficult to handle since it's on the bigger side, but the color just glides effortlessly onto the nail. I'm also really impressed by the staying power. I'm currently on day 3 of my manicure without a single chip or nick in sight.

It may be difficult to find this collection, as it came out a few months ago. But I found this color and one of the others from the collection (Intelligence, Integrity & Courage, which I'll review in another post soon!) at Ulta about two weeks ago. Happy hunting!
