I first tried Drybar Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray when I bought a pack of four travel-sized Drybar products after a blowout. I mainly bought it for the travel-sized Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo, which is one of my favorite products of all time. Hairspray? I figured I'd try it, never use it again and consider that part of the four-pack a wash (pardon the hair pun).
The travel-sized Drybar Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray that started it all. |
Well, consider my opinion changed. Because you know what happened? I tried Money Maker and it's like my whole life before meant nothing. Okay, that might be a SLIGHT exaggeration, but I think you know what I'm getting at here. THIS HAIRSPRAY IS EVERYTHING. I can't believe I hadn't tried it sooner and I can't believe I was so adamant about hairspray not working previous to doing so.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the fabulousness this hairspray has brought to my life. Whenever I spritz it into my tresses, they stay in place while still feeling like themselves (read: soft and silky rather than hard and crunchy). And whether I go for a super straight and sleek blowout, bouncy curls or a high ponytail, not a single strand is out of place! I also love the patented Drybar scent, which is just enough to lend fragrance to my hair without feeling cloying or overpowering.
Drybar Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray. I'm obsessed. |
Now, the true test for me is how my hair feels the next day after using hairspray. I'm happy to report that you can brush this hairspray out and your hair goes back to feeling just as clean, smooth and silky as it did before you sprayed it into your strands. Whenever you're done with it, just brush or comb it out and your hair is perfectly fine!
I really can't say enough good things about this hairspray. I love it so much it's now in constant rotation in my hair arsenal and I continue to stockpile it every time I place an order with Sephora. If you haven't tried it yourself, yet, what are you waiting for?
Drybar Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray retails for $26 at sephora.com.
I hate hairspray too, so I think I'll be picking this up to try. Thanks for the review Jamie!
ReplyDeleteGood to know. There are few occasions when I need hairspray, but it's good to have on hand just in case. I would love to buy it in a travel size on its own. I'm going to start hunting
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time I used hairspray but I do on occasion. I think my mother frightened me with her constant use of it. Her head looked like a helmet and I never wanted that. This sounds like a winner though.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds lovely! I haven't used hairspray in a while - I use styling serums instead. But I'll take a spray if it doesn't make my hair look greasy!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I use hairspray for setting my curls. Nice review.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used hairspray in so long! I absolutely hate formulas that make hair stiff and crunchy! It's good to know that this is a game-changer!
ReplyDeleteI always find it hard to find a hairspray I like!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have to remember this! I've wanted to try a few products from them but just never did
ReplyDeleteI don't often use hairspray - but when I do it is to set a style. I have so many that I haven't even touched them. It's not my go-to for setting my curls... but do enjoy reading about others I haven't tried.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to try that dry shampoo too!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I'm not a fan of dry shampoos or hairsprays, but I like that this hairspray allows your hair to be brushable the day after using it.
ReplyDeleteOoh I never use hairspray because of the 'crunchiness' either, so this sounds really good! x
