Lusts of the Week

How is everyone's week going so far? I'm doing pretty well, though I threw my back out the other day -- so I'm in pain! Luckily I have some beauty products perking me up while I lie on my back.

NARS, NARS Highlight Blush Powder Albatross, blush, makeup, highlighter
NARS Highlight Blush Powder in Albatross ($28 at sephora.com): Until recently, I was staunchly opposed to blush, bronzer, or highligters of any kind. But all of a sudden I'm having a total change of heart ... and this highlighting powder is right at the top of the heap. It's the most gorgeous shade of whitish beige, tinged with a hint of sparkly shimmer, that adds glimmer and shine to the entire face. A slight dusting across my forehead and cheeks and I'm good to go for the whole night!

Philosophy, Philosophy 3-in-1, Philosophy Red Velvet Cake, Philosophy shower gel, Philosophy body wash, Philosophy bubble bath, Philosophy shampoo
Philosophy Red Velvet Cake 3-in-1: I can't bake to save my life. Well, that's a lie -- I can, I just choose to be lazy and buy desserts instead of make them. So this shower gel, with its deliciously delectable scent of red velvet cake -- it really does smell exactly like it! -- has found a permanent home in my shower. I don't even care that the densely rich shade tends to stain my shower curtain a bit. If I can get this much satisfaction with no calories, I'm totally sold.
Note: This product is no longer available.

CLEAN, CLEAN Warm Cotton Eau de Parfum, perfume, fragrance
CLEAN Warm Cotton Eau de Parfum ($38 at sephora.com): One of the all-time greatest smells in the whole world? The smell of fresh laundry. I absolutely adore walking by the laundromat on my way home from work and breathing in the scent of clean clothes. And this fragrance smells exactly like that. I actually like to spray it on my sheets before heading to bed, or use it as a room diffuser -- though it smells just as fresh and lovely on the skin.
