NARS Gets it Right with Lip Gloss

Love at first sight? I'd say that accurately describes my feelings toward NARS Lip Gloss. Each shade seems to be more highly pigmented and colorful than the next ... and the names, oh, the names! There's Frisky Summer (glossy raspberry), Misbehave (shimmering cherry) and Revolt (sheer grape), just to name a few. But my faves are definitely these three:

Stolen Kisses
Moon Fleet

Each of these three shades brings something new and different to the lipgloss table. First up, of course, is Risky Business. What child of the 80s doesn't remember Tom Cruise dancing around in his tighty whities and knee-high socks? Drawing inspiration from the movie title, this gloss totally kicks things up a notch with a shimmery berry hue that's not too light, not too dark -- but just right. Whether worn alone or layered over other glosses and lipsticks, this one is absolutely perfect for a night out.

Stolen Kisses, on the other hand, reminds me of a night under the stars with that special someone. Corny? Yes. True? Definitely. The color, a sparkly mauve inside the tube, slicks on to become a medium-hued caramel that is just soooo super-sexy. I'm a sucker for any coral or peach gloss, and this one just takes things to a whole new level!

But my absolute fave is most definitely Moon Fleet. Get ready to blast off with this gloss, because the super-high-octane glittery gold will leave your lips more lustrous and glimmery than you ever thought possible. A few swipes across your pout and you'll be sparkling from dusk till dawn. I actually really like to wear this one on its own, rather than layering over a colored gloss -- it really brings out the natural hue of your lips and just adds such gorgeous sparkle and shimmer.

Best of all, these glosses are incredibly smooth and slick. They don't ever start to feel sticky or tacky, and they don't crease or fade unevenly! And while $24 each on the NARS website may seem a bit steep, just remember -- you can't put a price on a pretty pout!
