Lusts of the Week

Well, the election is finally over. What a long road, huh? Hopefully "a change is gonna come," as Sam Cooke sang and Barack referenced in his acceptance speech last night. But in the meantime, I will continue trying out every beauty product I can get my hands on ... and here are my total Lusts of the Week.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy ($90 at beauty.com): Honeysuckle, caramel and vanilla, oh my! This perfume has found its way into permanence on my nightstand. The cotton candy scent is anything but cloying -- somehow, even though it's unbelievably sweet and fragrant, it keeps from being too over the top. The bottle is to die -- it's sophisticated and chic, and tied with the prettiest pink bow. And let's not forget the tiny Juicy charm adorning the neck! All in all, this is definitely a keeper.

Philosophy Caramel Apple 3-in-1: I've been addicted to caramel apples since, well, as long as I could chew. I don't care that they're super messy. I don't care that they're uber-sticky. I just care about how good they taste. And this shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath combo smells just as good as they taste! It's a bit messy in the shower, I must admit -- it might splatter your tub or shower curtain with burnt orange color for a bit -- but it smells divine and lathers up amazingly well.

Slatkin & Co. Cinnamon Stick 14.5oz. Filled Candle: The candle obsession continues! And this week, it is all about this baby right here. I've literally had it burning for so many hours on end, it's almost finished! My roommate and I have left it burning for 3-5 hours each night, and I've gotta say -- this triple-wicked beauty helped me to welcome in cooler temperatures better than any other product out there. It smells enough like cinammon to make me feel warm and homey, while the nutmeg and clove buds lend just a hint of spicy goodness.
