2012 is most definitely the year of the peplum. The short ruffle attached to a skirt, dress, top or even pants has caused quite a stir in the fashion world, with celebrities like Emma Stone (in Giambattista Valli) and Olivia Palermo (in Mulberry) taking to it in spades. Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Alexander McQueen, Tibi, Rodarte (and even more!) ... all embraced the peplum and incorporated it into their collections this season. Below, my favorite takes on the trend.
