Essie Summer 2012 Bikini So Teeny Collection Swatches

I am totally loving the Essie Summer 2012 Bikini So Teeny Collection. All six of the colors are bright, bold and beautiful -- and fabulous for notice-me-now summer manicures and pedicures! This collection is made up of five creams and one shimmer, which offsets the creams nicely. See more in-depth swatches and my take on the colors below. All are seen with two coats.

Fear Or Desire is a hot, creamy orange. Not necessarily a groundbreaking color, but it's bright and bold -- perfect for pedicures shown off by summer sandals.

Mojito Madness is a standout from this collection for me. It's a bright, vivid green that applies like a dream -- a bit more grassy hued than the mojitos I've had in the past, but definitely a color that will transition seamlessly into cooler months.

Cascade Cool is a dusty cotton candy pink. I feel like this color has been around a lot lately, but it's pretty and punches up the classic pink manicure a touch.

All Tied Up is the lone shimmer of the group. It's a rose/copper hybrid with gold shimmer. It honestly feels a bit more fall-like to me, but I do really like it and think it's unique. And, for a shimmer, it applies amazingly well.

Bikini So Teeny is the collection's namesake and my personal favorite. I was dying for this color for months before I finally got my hands on it! Essie describes it as a cornflower blue, which it is in certain lights, but it can also look lavender or even grey. And, if you look closely, you'll see just the faintest touch of silver shimmer, setting it apart from last year's hit, Lapiz of Luxury (another personal favorite). I absolutely love this color and will definitely be wearing it year-round.

Off The Shoulder is a bright pink -- fairly standard issue for summer nail polish fare. Pretty, and definitely perfect for toes.

  1. I have Bikini So Teeny on my toes...looks good. It has a nice bright tone, yet it's light in color. I love it too :)
