Ah, Deborah Lippmann. You complete me. Just when I think I've seen it all, you go and create two nail polishes that are like nothing else in my collection -- and, of course, are must haves. This time, I'm speaking of Mermaid's Dream and Modern Love.
These two nail polishes couldn't be more different, but they have one thing in common -- they're both AMAZING. They apply perfectly in two coats, they're stunners both in the bottle and on the nail ... really, what's not to love?
Mermaid's Dream is a color that I'd been wanting to own since it was first released. I had extremely high hopes for this one, not only because of the pictures I'd seen online but because it's like nothing else I've seen. The seafoam-hued base is scattered with pieces of hexagonal-shaped blue glitter, along with a dense amount of both green and gold glitter. It really does remind me of mermaid scales! In all actuality, I just want to watch Splash over and over now that I've finally gotten this color on my nails. It is a bit difficult to remove, since it's a glitter, but it actually came off much more easily than most of its kind. In conclusion? This color is unique, beautiful and a definite must have.

Modern Love is a mauve-based nude. Deborah Lippmann does nudes extremely well -- Fashion and Naked are too of my all-time favorite colors -- and this one is no exception. I love that this has the mauve undertones, which make it stand out from the rest of the nude pack. It's creamy and it applies like a dream. If you're looking for a nude nail polish with a hint of bite, this is the one for you.
