I love a good magnetic nail polish. I just think it's such a cool idea, and an easy way to add some fun to your nails. So I was of course extremely interested in the new Essie Repstyle Collection! My favorite color is definitely Lil' Boa Peep, a cool coppery silver. Read on to see more.
This color is pretty striking on its own, but it's definitely made all the more so with the magnet. I did find the magnet a big tough to use, since there's no lip on it and you really have to make sure you don't nick the nail while holding it over the polish. It's also really difficult to make sure you magnetize the entire nail -- for some reason, most of my attempts only created the effect on the middle and one side, but not over the whole nail. And, as you can see, the pinky finger really didn't work at all, even though I held the magnet over it for about 25 seconds!
All that being said, I do really like the snakeskin-meets-fishnet effect the magnet creates, and the way it makes this color look. I also really like the bottle, which shows the effect on the cap.

I recommend only using one coat of polish instead of two, and using the magnet on each nail directly after applying the polish. Two coats tended to make the polish too thick to really make the effect work.
