In any given week, I may polish my nails up to five times. This past week, I hit three. Here are the colors that called my name this week.
I began the week with
Zoya Josie, one of the colors from the new
Stunning Collection for Summer 2013. Josie is a bright, creamy green that reminds me of freshly mown grass. It's bright but not quite neon, and it definitely caught many of my coworkers' eyes this week!
Next up was
Essie Avenue Maintain, from the line's
Spring 2013 Madison Ave-Hue Collection. While some swatches I saw online made this hue look cerulean, on me it finished much deeper and bolder. One coat yielded perfect color, but I applied a second just for good measure.
I finished the week with a fabulous manicure at
Sam Brocato Salon, where I picked
Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air. I've been intrigued by this color for quite some time, and I must say it did not disappoint! I will recommend three coats, though -- the first coat is really sheer, and the second doesn't make it quite opaque enough for my taste. It's also difficult to get the glittery pieces out of the bottle, but my manicurist really worked her magic on this one for me. Interestingly, though, it shows up as almost nude on the nail, when it's a milky pale blue in the bottle.
What's on your nails this week? Did you polish them multiple times or just stick to one color? Let me know in the comments!
