First Look Fridays: Celebrity Makeup Artist & IM Lashes Founder Isaac Meyers

From Rihanna and Adriana Lima to Etta James and Rob Lowe, makeup artist Isaac Meyers has certainly made up some of the biggest names in the business. He's also the creator of the fabulous faux lashes brand, IM Lashes. Read on to find out what inspired him to start his own line, the mascara he can't live without and so much more.

How did you first become interested in makeup, and what led you to become a makeup artist?
I grew up painting pottery and airbrushing T-shirts. Watching movies inspired me to get into the movie business.

When did you create IM Lashes, and how did it grow from an idea to reality?
I started IM Lashes in 2011. I noticed that I was going through a lot of my lashes and was inspired to start my own brand with new collections every season. It took until 2012 before we got the licenses and put our first order in.

The lashes you create are AMAZING. What are you inspired by to create them?
Thank you! I wanted to create a line of lashes that were all based off Hollywood actresses. That took me into creating lashes that were inspired by 20 iconic actresses. There are 10 past and 10 present styles of lashes based on them.

What are your top 5 favorite beauty products?

What are your top 3 makeup tips?
1) Start with your eyes -- it will make your foundation look better.
2) Learn how to apply liquid liner. It opens up your eyes.
3) Learn how to apply lashes.

What is the most rewarding part of what you do?
I love making my clients feel beautiful and rewarded. I also enjoy the special talks we have in my chair.

Being a makeup artist must be fun, but what do you do in your spare time?
I love Bikram Yoga and Tai Chi to keep my mind centered. I also love hanging out with my mom. We have a special relationship!
