#ManiMonday: Dolce & Gabbana The Nail Lacquer in Anise

I don't know why, but sometimes I hang on to completely gorgeous nail polishes without using them for, well, months. And I mean MONTHS. I'm pretty sure I've had Dolce & Gabbana The Nail Lacquer in Anise since before I left New York. And I loved it from the moment I saw it, but I guess I was just waiting for a special occasion to bring it out.

Well, I finally made this week the special occasion ... for no reason other than I NEEDED TO FINALLY USE THIS BEAUTIFUL NAIL POLISH. Thankfully, it did not disappoint! Anise is a chic, sophisticated blue/grey creme -- definitely a better color for fall, but since it's grey and gloomy in Pittsburgh today it feels right to wear it.

The polish does apply very thin, so two to three coats are necessary for completely opaque coverage. I did two, and I still do have a bit of patchiness in certain areas, but they're not too terrible. The formula is perfect -- no streaks or thickness -- and no sheet marks, even though I applied it RIGHT before I went to bed last night.

If I can learn anything from finally wearing this nail polish, it's that I NEED TO STOP SAVING MY POLISHES FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. Because, after all, isn't every day a special nail polish occasion?

  1. Good for you. I also apply nail polish even if there's no special occasion. Haha. Seems like we share the same interest. =)
