D'oh! Dying Over the New M.A.C The Simpsons Nail Stickers

YOU GUYS. The M.A.C The Simpsons Collection is here and it's GLORIOUS. I started watching The Simpsons when it first premiered in 1989. I actually HAD to watch it as an assignment for my fourth grade class -- my teacher had us write a paper on whether it was suitable for children. My brother especially took to the show, which I like to think is due in large part to his older sister saying we had to watch it. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.) Well, while I may have gotten away from watching the show in its later years, I was still pretty excited when M.A.C announced this collection. And, true to form, The Simpsons Nail Stickers were at the top of my list to try.

I'm obviously already obsessed with nail polish, so it's really no wonder that I couldn't wait to get my hands on these nail stickers (no pun intended). Sometimes I have a problem with nail stickers fitting my nails correctly, but these did a pretty good job -- only a couple nails really didn't have a corresponding sticker that fit properly. Application of these stickers is pretty simple -- you just peel them away from the plastic, tear off the silver tab at the bottom and press on your nails. The whole process only takes about 5 minutes!

I must admit that I really wasn't sure which way I should apply them -- so that the characters faced me or so they faced outward. I ended up doing a mix of both, since if I had them all face me, I would pretty much have only been able to see Marge. And don't get me wrong, I love her, but I wanted the chance to show off some of the other iconic characters from the show as well! I had actually heard that some people's packages didn't really include too many of Marge, but she was on every single one of my stickers.

It might look a little bit like a mish mosh, but I actually really like how the application of the stickers turned out. I think that having them face different ways sort of echoes and mimics the cacophony of the show itself -- a happy accident for sure! Now my only problem is that I used up most of the stickers. Looks like I'll need to get a second set for my permanent collection!
