I will preface this post by saying it's VERY rare that you'll see me laud a walk-in nail salon. Usually, I avoid them like the plague. But in the case of Beverly Hills Nails, located in Pittsburgh's Greentree neighborhood, I'm making an exception.

This nail salon is fairly unassuming from the outside, as most walk-in places tend to be. It's located in a strip mall (which, coincidentally, also has a really good restaurant called Coach's, but that's neither here nor there). Once I walked in, what struck me first and foremost is that this place is CLEAN. You can tell that they take pride in their establishment and keep it pristine. (One of my major fears with walk-in nail salons is that they won't in fact do this, which will make me get some sort of nail fungus or disease or something.) No need to worry here, as every pedicure basin is shining and the nail tools are constantly being sanitized.

The nail polish selection is also quite considerable. The salon contains a huge selection of polishes by Essie and OPI in addition to tons of gel colors. I had actually brought my own, since I have a considerably large stash, but I would have felt just fine picking from this salon's collection. There's also a large menu of manicure and pedicure services, from your basic to your absolutely luxurious. I settled for something in between, which was actually called the Luxury Pedicure ($55) and included a leg massage with cooling clay.

The services are top notch -- from clipping and buffing to massaging and polishing, no stone is left unturned in the way of your nails looking and feeling their best. I got a manicure and pedicure and was there for about an hour and a half! Polishing is super precise and, even with regular polish, manicures and pedicures LAST. My mani lasted for over a week with no chipping, and my pedicure is now on week 3 and going strong! I wanted to get a French manicure with Essie Turquoise & Caicos and Essie Beyond Cozy, which my manicurist was happy to do -- and which she did FREEHAND.

If you're looking for a nail salon in the Pittsburgh area that will really take care of you and polish you to perfection, Beverly Hills Nails is it. They don't have a website, so to make appointments you can call 412-341-1785 or just walk in.
