Seriously, let's take another look...
Another look at Deborah Lippmann Marrakesh Express. Just look at that gold glitter! |
Deborah Lippmann describes this color as "spiced sienna," and I think that's completely accurate. It reminds me of the color Burnt Sienna from the Crayola 64-Count Box of my childhood ... but pumped up with rough-cut gold glitter. Tons of gold flakies are baked right into the formula, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's easy to get them from the bottle onto the nail. Sometimes with larger glitters I find that I have to pour the polish onto a plate and deliberately place the glitter onto the nail, but not so with this polish -- the particles come out in droves!
I used two coats for completely opaque coverage and found the polish to be very easy to work with. I was worried that the glitter particles might sink into the middle of the two coats and get covered up, but this didn't happen -- in fact, two coats just made the final result more gold-flecked!
Closeup of the Deborah Lippmann Marrakesh Express bottle. I can't get over those gold flakes. |
The bottom of the bottle. I'll never stop loving Deb's square bottle shape. |
In short? This is a polish that STUNS. I've already gotten tons of compliments at work this morning, and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and stare at my nails some more...
