#ManiMonday: Rescue Beauty Lounge Wild Raspberries Grow from A Poem Collection

Rescue Beauty Lounge, Rescue Beauty Lounge Wild Raspberries Grow, Rescue Beauty Lounge A Poem Collection, nails, nail polish, nail lacquer, nail varnish, manicure, #ManiMonday, mani monday
You know those nail polishes that just call to you immediately? The second you see them, you know they must be yours? Well, that's how I felt when I first laid eyes on Rescue Beauty Lounge Wild Raspberries Grow. It captured my heart and made it impossible not to fall in love.

Now, this is actually not a polish I would typically like. I'm not a huge fan of glitter polish when it's on the sparser, thinner side. But I made an exception for this one because I had a feeling I'd be won over by the final product -- and I was right. Wild Raspberries Grow is inspired by both Dorothy's Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz and wild raspberry patches on a spring day. A base of micro emerald glitter is bedecked with fuchsia hexagonal glitter.

I will warn you that this polish is extremely thin on the first coat. If that bothers you and you don't want to spend the time building up the color, it would look equally as good as a glitter topper over another solid color. But I really wanted to see what it was like on its own, so I spent a painstaking amount of time applying four very thin coats. It is extremely buildable, and actually layers on quite nicely coat after coat with more and more of the pink glitter pieces sticking to the nail each time.

Now, I know that in my swatch above, there are some pieces of glitter still sticking to my skin. Would you believe this was after a very patient glitter removal session? The green glitter is SO fine that it was a bit impossible to remove every single stitch of it, even with Q-tips and lots of nail polish remover. So I apologize for my nails not looking as clean as usual -- but I still love the color!

My final assessment? This is a color I can't imagine not owning. I quite literally pounced on Rescue Beauty's website last week after receiving an email stating that many colors would be discontinued, Wild Raspberries Grow among them, and bought not only this but four other shades that I just had to have. (And, yes, I understand the difference between need and want.) Sadly, Wild Raspberries Grow is no longer available for purchase, but if you happen to find the chance to get your hands on it, take it and don't look back.

What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments!

  8. I'm not a fan of this at all so I'm a little glad that I didn't buy it. I tend to get discount happy when things are being dc'ed but not this time.
