Now, here's the thing. I actually visited The ARCONA Studio back in June. And I've definitely been lax in posting about it, but I've honestly been thinking about it ever since and trying to figure out just the right words to describe how wonderful my experience was. IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD.

The space itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's light and airy, with oversized armchairs in the lounge that are so comfortable and inviting you'll never want to leave. (Trust me, I snuggled up in one of them and stayed for a fairly long time after my treatment!) The treatment rooms are somehow cozy and large at the same time, and the beds are heated to perfection.

I was a little apprehensive about my facial, since it included a peel. My skin is pretty sensitive, and I've had some adverse reactions to peels in the past. But my aesthetician, Allison, assured me that the peel was very gentle and would do wonders for my skin. AND SHE WAS RIGHT. I was quite literally glowing after this facial and it was definitely because of the peel.
The ARCONA Enzyme Peel provides cellular renewal for skin that's sun damaged, aged and dull. Organic fruit enzymes work to dissolve dead skin and cleanse pores, which stimulates the dermis to manufacture more collagen and elastin. Translation: your skin is brightened, nourished and plumped to perfection.

Allison customized this treatment for me, making sure it was going to brighten my skin while remaining gentle. In addition to the fruit enzyme peel, she customized a mask for me so that she could treat various areas of my face differently. She used a tea tree mask on my chin and an antioxidant mask on the rest of my face. She also performed such light extractions I could barely feel them -- she had a magic touch!
At the end of the facial, Allison applied chamomile balm and an eye serum to further glowify my skin. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, which is what everyone wants after a facial, right?
The ARCONA Enzyme Peel is $125 for 50 minutes. For more information about this and all other treatments offered, visit arcona.com.
Yes, I have had a facial I couldn't stop thinking about: years worth actually. I used to go to Georgette Klinger Salon in NYC that unfortunately closed about 10 years ago, and I have been bereft ever since. Your facial with my namesake sounds fabulous! Wish I were nearby to try it out!
ReplyDeleteI am the weirdest girl in the world, I don't like spa's or facials heheh I maybe just haven't had a good one. I just gave up heheh
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE ARCONA! I have had a facial there as well, and absolutely loved every second of it! I'm so glad that you had a wonderful experience!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a professional facial in years. I think I'd love this though.
ReplyDeleteYour experience sounds just heavenly. A nice facial on a heated bed sounds like just what I need, right now.
ReplyDeleteI love all the Arcona products I've tried so far. But I haven't had a facial in ages because I breakout afterwards every time :(
ReplyDeleteThat lounge look so comfy and inviting. I am totally feeling the need for a facial now!
ReplyDeleteI used to get facials all the time and absolutely loved them... but I haven't tried the ARcona line. I had to stop with my facials because my Eczema started flaring up all the time... but man, this looks like a great experience.
ReplyDeleteI love that it was customized! That's what makes it worthwhile for me.
