I. Love. Getting. Facials. If it wasn't actually bad to treat the skin TOO much, I'd get them daily, or at least weekly. There's just something so satisfying about knowing all the gunk has come away from your pores and your skin is left looking and feeling its best. And when facials are done at a spa as amazing as Heyday? Well, how could I NOT want to go there every day? (Psst: keep reading to find out how you can SAVE $10 on your first Heyday facial!)

If you're ever looking for an oasis in the middle of hectic, crazy LA (okay, maybe not that hectic and crazy, but it IS still a big city), look no further than Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts. I've long been a fan of Kate Somerville products -- stemming all the way back to 2008 -- and, about eight months ago, I finally decided to pop into the spa for a facial.

Well, fast forward to today. I not only went for one facial, I've gone back every month! I even signed up for their Skin Gym Membership, which means I get monthly facials for $33 less than the non-member price -- Skin Gym is an AMAZING deal and totally worth it if you want regular facials! Here are all the reasons why I'm obsessed with Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts -- and why I'm pretty sure you will be, too.

I really can't think of anything better than getting a massage and a facial in the same day. So when I had the opportunity to visit any Massage Envy location of my choosing recently -- with the promise of enjoying both services in one fell swoop as part of the Ultimate Envy Treatment -- I, of course, leapt eagerly to the massage and facial tables at once.

Facials make me happy. Yes, they come with the not so pleasant experience of extractions, but overall, they're relaxing, rejuvenating and leave your skin looking unbelievably fabulous. But for those times when getting a facial is out of the question, either for lack of money or lack of time, the Bliss Triple Oxygen Facial In A Box is ready to come to the rescue.

If you're looking for a truly amazing facial, there's no better place than Dermalogica. I've long been a fan of the brand for creating products that work for a variety of skin types, even skin as sensitive as mine! Most of my very favorite skincare products come from Dermalogica. So it stands to reason that a facial at the Soho location would be absolutely perfect!

A few weeks ago, I had the supreme pleasure of visiting the Kiehl's Spa 1851. This spa is located (very conveniently) only three blocks from my apartment -- and yet, it took me YEARS before I finally went in for a treatment. Well, thank goodness I did, because my skin has never looked or felt better!

I’m a busy gal. I eat dinner standing over the kitchen counter more often then I’ll like to admit. A 90-minute facial is a luxury I just don't have time for right now. However, with the convenience and effectiveness of Skin Laundry’s Signature Laser Facial, I now can achieve their motto of “Healthy Skin With No Down Time.”

Skin Laundry’s two locations in Los Angeles are bright, airy, and extremely clean. I went to the Santa Monica location and met with Dr. Elson Lai, who patiently explained the 2-step facial process. The first part uses advanced cosmetic lasers to kill bacteria and clean the skin. The second part uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to stimulate collagen and even out skin tone. The facial is suitable for all skin types, even acne-prone and sensitive.

The words "gorgeous glow" don't even begin to cover how amazing my skin looked when I left Skin Chaperone. Dewy, radiant -- they come a little closer. Interestingly enough, I go way back with Skin Chaperone's founder, Misha Yomtovian. We went to elementary school together and recently reconnected at a gig for my brother's band, Love in Stockholm! So I was beyond thrilled to have the chance to check out her medispa, which is actually located inside my doctor's office. The world with Misha and me just keeps getting smaller.

Want to be a princess for a day? Then a visit to The Hotel Bel-Air Spa by La Prairie is most definitely a must. We were both absolutely blown away by the entire experience -- it was indulgent, relaxing and everything our little hearts could have desired.

I've long been a fan of bluemercury. Their product selection can't be beat, their store associates are always incredibly nice and helpful, and shopping in any of their stores is akin to the feeling I get when I visit a spa. So, it goes without saying that an actual visit to the bluemercury spa on the Upper East Side was one of my favorites thus far.

Last week, I was magically transported to a chocolate wonderland. And let me tell you, Willy Wonka has nothing on The Spa At The Hotel Hershey.

Everything about the spa is absolutely divine -- and not only because many of the treatments include chocolate! From the moment you step off the elevator and walk into the magnificent lobby, you're in the most delicious world possible. I was lucky enough to experience two treatments at the spa, and I'm here to tell you they couldn't have been more fabulous if they'd tried.

Salon and Spa Directory: Face Place Facial Treatment

Post a comment!

Face Place, Face Place NYC, Face Place Facial Treatment, Face Place facial, facial, skin, skincare, skin care, spa, salon and spa directory, spa treatment, spa facialA few weeks ago, I had the immense pleasure of visiting Face Place in NYC's Meatpacking District to experience their famed Facial Treatment. This facial goes so above and beyond the normal expected facial that it actually took me this time to really process just how fantastic it really was. I have honestly never experienced anything quite like it!

For starters, the treatment is about two hours long. My normal facials are at most 75 minutes, which is already a pretty luxurious amount of time to be on the table. But two hours? Color me happy and relaxed, especially since it involved me lying on a table with my feet and legs propped up (so the blood could rush to my head and give me a better glow, according to Tom, my amazing esthetician).

But then there's the treatment itself. Mask after mask is applied to the face, with strips of muslin, flannel and cotton soaked in various solutions (like a combination of zinc and Vitamin C, which calm the facial tissues and stimulate collagen production). After each session of strips were applied, various masks were placed on top -- which, I have to admit, look like a cross between hockey masks and the mask from Silence of the Lambs! Luckily, they don't feel tight or constricting and don't make you feel claustrophobic. The second mask actually ties around the face and runs a galvanic current, which helps the product to really penetrate the skin and make you glow.

Add to that one of the least painful sessions of extractions I've ever experienced -- seriously, Tom has magic hands -- and my skin was GLOWING at the end. Really, GLOWING. I have to type in all caps! I also appreciated that Tom recommended products for my skin that would actually work and weren't too expensive -- and, since they don't actually sell product at Face Place, he was really working on recommending ones that my skin would respond to the best. (For the record, he recommended a cleanser by CeraVe that is absolutely amazing.)

If you're in NYC, I highly recommend making an appointment at Face Place to experience this one of a kind treatment. Especially since you can get a manicure or pedicure at the same time by the fabulous Erica Marton! (The dope watermelon mani I got was during this treatment!)

The Facial Treatment at Face Place is $140. For more information and to book an appointment, visit faceplace.com.
