Brighten Up: Dermalogica BioLumin-C Serum

I'm going to admit something to you. I haven't always been the best at including Vitamin C in my daily regimen -- either through eating/drinking it, taking vitamins, or applying it to my skin. But, now that I'm 40, I'm definitely doing everything I can to make sure my skin stays bright, firm and youthful as long as humanly possible! When I discovered Dermalogica BioLumin-C Serum, I figured that was a pretty good place to start.

I try a lot of beauty products. A LOT. At any given time, my apartment pretty much just looks like the inside of Sephora or Ulta combined. And, while I have my tried and true favorites, I definitely expand my beauty horizons fairly frequently. Right now, these are the six products I simply can't get enough of.

If you're looking for a truly amazing facial, there's no better place than Dermalogica. I've long been a fan of the brand for creating products that work for a variety of skin types, even skin as sensitive as mine! Most of my very favorite skincare products come from Dermalogica. So it stands to reason that a facial at the Soho location would be absolutely perfect!

I’ve searched high and low, around the world, and for about six months for an eye cream that contains SPF. My search finally led me to Dermalogica Total Eye Care with SPF 15. I’m religious about sunscreen and wear it every day, in part because I’m afraid of melanoma but mostly because I’m vain and I want to prevent wrinkles and age spots. The sun’s harmful UV rays cause 90 percent of aging signs, especially around the eyes -- that’s because the skin around the eyes is ten times thinner than the skin on the face.

Whenever I get a facial, I inevitably hear the same sentences coming out of the aesthetician’s mouth:

1) You have really good skin!
2) No, really, you do!
3) But you know what would make it better? If you used a toner.

Well, guess what -- you can look just like them, thanks to Dermalogica. Makeup artist Norma Hill-Patton regularly used Dermalogica products to create the perfect canvas for dressing up both the vampires and the werewolves! "All of the actors required a LOT of makeup," she said. "It was on their faces for long periods of time, so we needed to take particular care of their skin. Vampires don't perspire, don't grow facial hair and certainly don't get BLEMISHES!"
