Lather Up (Or Not): Drybar The Morning After Shower Cap

My friends and family are privy to three truths about my hair.

1) I absolutely hate doing it. The washing, the blowdrying, the flat ironing ... the TIME it takes to do all of that. It’s for the birds!

2) I look for someone else to blow my hair out whenever possible. I’m obsessed. I go to blowout bars around the city at least once a week, normally frequenting DreamDry and Drybar.

3) I make my blowouts last for days, whether I’ve done them myself or had someone else do them for me. (See reason number 1.) As I want to spend the littlest amount of time possible on the process, I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week. And as a result? I’m always on the lookout for a killer shower cap.

As of late, my shower cap of choice has been the Drybar The Morning After Shower Cap. I’d ogled it on many a trip to the Drybar salons around NYC, but something always stopped me from pulling the trigger. Finally, during checkout a few weeks ago, something clicked and I simply HAD to have it. So I forked over the $15 and took home my new very own bright yellow shower cap!

I have to say, I’ve been nothing but impressed and satisfied ever since. I love the fun hue, which plays off of Drybar’s yellow theme for its various locations. It really brightens up my entire bathroom! But what I love even more? It’s HUGE -- definitely the biggest shower cap I’ve ever used, so it really covers each and every strand. And it’s lined in terrycloth, so it keeps my hair dry no matter how long my showers may be!

In short? It was love at first (not) wash!

The Drybar The Morning After Shower Cap retails for $15 at sephora.com.
