Look Like a Cullen, Thanks to New Moon Makeup Artist Norma Hill-Patton and Dermalogica!

Twilight, The Twilight Saga, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, New Moon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Edward Cullen, Alice Cullen, Stephenie Meyer, Norma Hill-Patton, makeup, makeup artist, make up, skin, skincare, skin care, DermalogicaWant to get that perfect Cullen skin seen in New Moon? Well, guess what -- you can look just like them, thanks to Dermalogica. Makeup artist Norma Hill-Patton regularly used Dermalogica products to create the perfect canvas for dressing up both the vampires and the werewolves! "All of the actors required a LOT of makeup," she said. "It was on their faces for long periods of time, so we needed to take particular care of their skin. Vampires don't perspire, don't grow facial hair and certainly don't get BLEMISHES!"

Hill-Patton used Dermalogica Active Moist on most of the cast because it was "quite universal and suits most types of skin," she said. She also used PreCleanse (editor's note: this is my new fave product, thanks to my microZone session last week!) to clean off the body makeup. "We had to apply a makeup fixative and it was difficult to remove," Hill-Patton said. "But we didn't want anything that was harsh or might induce a reaction."

Dermalogica's Intensive Eye Repair was "great for keeping the fine lines around the eyes at bay," Hill-Patton said. She patted a tiny amount under the eyes after applying makeup to diminish lines during closeups. She also used the Shaving Regime on all of the guys in the cast. "It was really important to be sympathetic to their skin, as they had to have a really close shave," she said. "We even had to shave some of them in the middle of the day to maintain the smooth look to the skin!"

A final item from the Dermalogica line that Hill-Patton used? The Renewal Lip Complex. "Perfect for those up-close kissing scenes!" she said.
