HPB Presents My First Ever Indie Nail Polish Purchase: Rescue Beauty Lounge Recycle

I recently discovered my new favorite Facebook group: Hobby Polish Bloggers. It's been wonderful to connect with other people who love nail polish just as much as I do (read: we're all obsessed). And right now we're all participating in a challenge where we show off our very first indie nail polish purchases! My first one? Rescue Beauty Lounge Recycle.

Recycle is one of those colors that just stunned me into amazed silence the moment I laid eyes upon it. I was at Louis Boston with my best friend. We'd heard of RBL, of course -- but we'd never purchased anything from the brand because, at $18 a pop, it was a bit too rich for our then-entry-level-super-poor blood. Well, Recycle changed all that in an instant.

Just look at that rich hunter green creme. I love you, Rescue Beauty Lounge Recycle.

Recycle is a pure hunter green creme. Two coats create rich, opaque, super glossy color that applies easily with no streaking or dragging. It delicately toes the line between sophisticated and cool-girl chic. Plus, I love that it really is GREEN -- it's not like a lot of other dark greens that tend to look black in certain lights. No, this is green no matter where you see it, and it's GORGEOUS.

I actually bought Recycle three times before RBL shut down (sniff) -- because I loved it so much that I actually used it up! Now that RBL is no longer, I'll definitely need to be sparing and thoughtful with how often I polish my nails with my very last bottle. I continue to be extremely distraught over RBL closing, but at least I have this bottle to get me through the sad times. And at the end of the day, that's priceless.

Be sure to check out all of the other indie nail polishes and manis from Hobby Polish Bloggers below!

  5. That's a show stopper of a green... very bold and I like it. I think Hunter Greens are hard for me to pull off... I would probably top with a holo topper and be good :D

  6. Welcome to HPB! :D That green is stunning. I have a couple of RBL polishes lurking in my untrieds. It's a bummer that I can't get any more if I really love them. Ah, well. They can hang out with my Cult Nails polishes and console one another.
