So Ready For This Milky Jelly: Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

A few months ago, my fabulous friend Mindy came to visit me in LA. Now, Mindy and I have many common interests -- our devout obsession with Friends, an affection for Maker's Mark and our love of wedge heels among them. We even shared a hairstylist back when we both lived in Pittsburgh ... which leads me to our number one shared passion, BEAUTY PRODUCTS. We've spent many a day together perusing the shelves at Sephora or texting back and forth about the products the other person simply has to try. So when she whipped out her bottle of Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser and told me I'd love it, I knew she would be right. Well, spoiler alert -- she was.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is basically everything I've ever searched for in a cleanser and didn't know I even wanted or needed. This is that miraculous face wash that cleanses, smooths, nourishes, hydrates ... in a nutshell, it does it all. While I love everything about living in LA, the air definitely dries out my skin more than I'd like to admit. But with this cleanser by my side, I've gotten the dryness under control and transformed my skin into a baby soft canvas I didn't even know was possible.

And here's the kicker. I DON'T EVEN NORMALLY USE CLEANSER. Seriously. I don't wash my face. I've always found that washing my face just dries it out more and causes more breakouts. But this formula is so soothing and moisturizing that it makes my skin look and feel BETTER. The formula is an interesting mix of creamy and jelly (hence the milky jelly name), and it's blended with five skin conditioners so your skin feels healthy and soft. Some of the ingredients you'll find in this miracle worker are:

Poloxamer: A strong yet mild cleansing agent used in contact lens solution.
Rosewater: Soothes the skin.
Comfrey Root Extract: Contains healing allantoin to help prevent stress on the skin.
Aquaxyl: Refills skin’s water reserves and improves its barrier to prevent dehydration.
Pro-Vitamin B5: Powerful, natural moisturizer found in mushrooms and cheese.

I absolutely love the consistency of this cleanser.

I mean, really. Just look at that consistency! It's thick, rich and lush, but it glides onto skin effortlessly. It's interesting because it doesn't really foam or create too much of a lather -- it feels more like a serum that you're massaging into your skin before rinsing it off with warm water. As a bonus, it smells AMAZING thanks to the addition of rosewater. The scent is light and floral without feeling too overwhelming. The packaging is also so chic and pretty -- I love the sleek white bottle with touches of pink and black. It stands out in my shower without making too strong a statement.

The addition of this cleanser into my skincare routine has been overwhelmingly positive. I use it each morning in the shower -- two pumps are more than an adequate amount to fully cleanse my face. Then I rinse it off, towel dry and voila! My skin looks healthy, happy and smoother than ever. Got milky jelly? Indeed.
