On Wednesdays We Wear Pink: Rock Your Hair Leave-In Conditioner Weightless Detangler

Rock Your Hair, Rock Your Hair Leave-In Conditioner Weightless Detangler, hair detangler, hair treatment, dance convention
Have you ever had an impulse purchase turn out to be one of the best purchases you actually ever made? Well, in the case of Rock Your Hair Leave-In Conditioner Weightless Detangler, I sure have.

A friend of mine asked me to accompany him to a dance convention in Long Beach a few months ago. I jetéed at the chance (see what I did there?) and even offered to drive us there. And for anyone who knows how awful LA traffic can be, that's really saying something.

So we set off for Long Beach, and I really had no clue what I was in for. I've never been to a dance convention before, but as a longtime fan of So You Think You Can Dance -- not to mention ballet and musical theater -- I was extremely excited.

And here's where Rock Your Hair comes in. What I didn't realize was that the convention included a huge selling floor with tons of fashion and beauty brands catering to the dance world. I basically left my friend in the dust and started walking around to each one. And, while I've always loved the Capezios and the Danskins of the world, it was this adorable brand that captivated me instantly.

First of all, look at the packaging. It's pink, pink, PINK! I mean, come on, it's completely and totally adorable. Every one of the Rock Your Hair products is this same vibrant shade, and I couldn't help but smile as I perused the products. All of a sudden, two of the cutest girls I've ever seen came prancing up to me, asking me what types of products I liked and what I was looking for. I said I was in the market for a new leave-in conditioner, and they exclaimed, "WE HAVE IT!"

They handed me this bottle, one proclaiming, "I actually have it in my hair right now. Just feel how soft it is!" and basically pulled my hand toward her tresses. All right ... those strands were SILKY SMOOTH. I pulled out my wallet right then and there and said, "Well, I've found the perfect product!"

I thoroughly expected to plunk down a large sum of money for a leave-in conditioner that promised to be this incredible. Not so! This leave-in conditioner cost me all of TEN DOLLARS. And it's seriously the best $10 I've ever spent, because this leave-in conditioner does all of the following:

Improves wet and dry combing
Reduces breakage
Aids in static control and reduces flyaways
Helps to smooth the hair cuticle
Leaves hair soft and silky

This is thanks to a combination of soy, wheat and oat proteins that penetrate into the cuticle and reinforce it from the inside out. Since I started using it, I've found my hair to be incredibly soft and smooth for days on end. My drying time is reduced, and whether I flat iron or curl, my tresses are gloriously shiny. It also has a subtly sweet scent, sort of like candy, but it's not cloying or heavy at all.

All in all, I am so beyond glad that I stopped at the Rock Your Hair booth and happened upon not only the two cutest kids ever but also the leave-in conditioner that's changed my life. It has me doing pirouettes for sure!

Rock Your Hair Leave-In Conditioner Weightless Detangler retails for $9.99 at sallybeauty.com.
