First of all, care/of's website and process for ensuring you get the perfect vitamin pack is pretty darn fabulous. Once you click "Get started," it leads you to a series of questions designed to help you discover which vitamins are the ones for you. Here is just a sampling of what you can expect on the website (which, side note, is super well designed -- I love the clean look and feel)...

For the record, I chose "Curious" here. |

I chose all of them -- why not, right? |

Another example of the questions you're asked during the survey. |
The website then walks you through 3-5 questions per category before determining which is the right set of vitamins for you. They range in everything from how often you travel on planes to your major skin concern (like wrinkles or dry skin). It's a very thorough quiz but goes pretty quickly -- the whole process only takes about five minutes.
Then it's time for the real fun -- getting your pack! The site puts together a pack of vitamins based on your questions, which you can either accept as is or adjust. You can add to the dosage or subtract and add the vitamins and supplements that work for you. I went with the suggested pack, which contains a whopping SEVEN different vitamins (three of the same, but still -- SEVEN!).
My personalized pack and the accompanying information card! |
My pack includes the following vitamins and supplements:
Astaxanthin (The Coral King): a powerful antioxidant that gives sea creatures like salmon and shrimp their coral color and works to support healthy skin
Calcium Plus (Bone Hugs and Harmony): sourced from Icelandic red algae and combined with fermented vitamin D and vitamin K to support bone health
Ashwagandha (The Chill Pill): an adaptogenic herb used in traditional Ayurveda, sustainably grown in India and produced using a gentle extraction method that yields the highest concentration available to help relieve occasional stress
Rhodiola (The Cosmonaut): an adaptogenic herb that helps the body adapt to stress in a healthy way, promotes mental energy and helps you focus
Bacopa (The Brainiac): an Ayuverdic herb traditionally used to help manage mild memory problems associated with aging and mental focus
I actually have taken the quiz a few times and answered some questions the same and some differently to see what would happen. There's typically some crossover (especially with the Astaxanthin and Calcium), but depending on what I focused on, the other suggestions vary. And now of course I want to order more than one pack so I can REALLY get all the right vitamins and supplements for my health, skin and body in order!

The box/dispenser your personalized packs arrive in. |
The packs all arrive in an adorable box, which acts as a dispensary so you can just take one pack out every day. And come on, HOW CUTE ARE THE PACKS THEMSELVES? Who doesn't want a personalized vitamin pack with his or her name on it? I'll tell you who -- NOBODY!

Packs on packs on packs. |
I have been taking my vitamins and supplements for about a week now and I'm totally loving them so far. I was a little worried that the bigger pills would be hard to swallow, but they're either gel-coated or still have a bit of a slick coating so they've all gone down easily. And the best part is, I feel like I'm finally taking more control of my health and my body ... or taking care, as it were.
Who cares? I do!
Take the care/of survey and find out which pack of vitamins is right for you at takecareof.com. Packs cost about $40 for a one month supply.
It's so cute that the packets are personalized!

ReplyDeleteI love when companies put my name on the package! This is really cute. I've just been taking a basic multivitamin for years, but I want to try this now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I take a lot of vitamins and supplements and this might work for me.
ReplyDeletehow interesting!!! I'd love to have someone else make up my vitamin packs rather than doing it myself every day.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing concept! I love that it takes the guess work out of the whole process.
ReplyDeleteNice concept. Great post.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an interesting concept! I only take biotin at season changes and some more when the heat strikes.
