While I'm definitely not complaining about owning hundreds of nail polish colors (I've lost count, but I'm pretty sure it's around 500 bottles), that definitely makes me forget what I actually own -- especially if the bottles are lined up behind each other. I decided to try and use some shades I'd forgotten about or hadn't used in a long time. My only other requirement was that they had a spring-inspired feel. The five colors I chose are:
THUMB
Chanel Espadrilles
INDEX FINGER
RGB Minty (Full review here)
MIDDLE FINGER
Smith & Cult Fauntleroy (Full review here)
RING FINGER
Deborah Lippmann A Wink and a Smile
PINKY FINGER
Dior Sunwashed (Full review here)

I am honestly loving how this manicure turned out! I'm really into how all of the colors ended up playing together, even if it seemed at first glance like they might clash. Claire and I moved the order around a few times before I was satisfied with the final result. I like that Dior is on the end, because while it's a great yellow, I didn't want it to take up a more prominent spot. I also love starting with the Chanel orange on my thumb, and the way the green, purple and blue look together in the middle. Honestly, this is one of my favorite manicures I've done in awhile!
A final shot of my "Sprinter" multicolored manicure. Pardon the very tiny chip on one of my ring fingers! |
I think I'm going to keep this Sprinter manicure trend around for awhile. Who's with me?
