Spillin' the Tea: Morning Lavender's Delightful Afternoon Tea Service in Orange County

Over the weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying the afternoon tea service at Morning Lavender with my gal Erin. To say it was delightful would be a definite understatement!

I have always thoroughly enjoyed high tea. My mom used to take my brother and me to high tea at the Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland once a year to celebrate our birthdays, and I loved the experience of eating tiny sandwiches and receiving my own pot of tea! This love of high tea has definitely carried over to adulthood — so when Erin asked if I'd like to join her for this experience, of course I immediately said yes!

The tea service at Morning Lavender comes with your choice of a pot of tea (the menu is extensive!) and a plate filled with all of the traditional tea treats — a scone, finger sandwiches, and miniature desserts, including a beautiful vegan donut. Everything is so elegantly and beautifully presented, not to mention utterly delicious! I especially loved the smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches, and the scone with butter and jelly.

Erin and I each chose a pot of tea so we could try two different flavors and share — Earl Grey Lavender and Peaches and Cream. We actually wanted the Strawberries and Champagne flavor but it wasn’t available — so we settled for glasses of real champagne instead. 😉🥂 I loved both of the teas. The Earl Grey Lavender is one of the most popular flavors, and I liked it — but the peach one definitely stole my heart! It was sweet but not overly so, and delightfully rich and flavorful. 

And, of course, the visit to Morning Lavender wouldn’t be complete without a stop for photos at their famed flower wall. 🌸🌼🌺 It was just as beautiful in person as I’ve seen on the ‘gram!

 

The Afternoon Tea Service at Morning Lavender is $35 and available to reserve on Saturdays and Sundays at 10am, 12:30pm or 3pm. You can make a reservation here. If you find yourself in the OC, I highly recommend it!
