Gettin' Lippy: Laura Geller Lip Strip Cooling Sugar Scrub

60 degrees. 20 degrees. Rainy. Snowy. Sunny. Over the last week and a half, the weather has been all of the above! (Thanks, global warming.) And my lips are sure taking a beating. Thankfully, though, I've been blessed to have Laura Geller Lip Strip Cooling Sugar Scrub in my makeup bag just waiting for the right time to be used.

Designed to gently buff dry lips, this lip treatment is created with pure organic sugar from Brazil for its great exfoliating properties. I had high hopes for this miniature tub, inside of which lies a pale pink concoction that smells deliciously minty. (Peppermint and spearmint oils are mixed in for extra freshness.) Scooping out a tiny portion from the tub with my index finger, I proceeded to rub it across my lips and massage in a circular motion, as the directions suggested.

Immediately, my lips began to feel refreshed and cool from the mint infusions ... but better than that, they were so much softer and smoother than they had been moments before! After rinsing off the residue, my pout was shiny and supple, with no sort of chapping, redness or dryness left behind.

Following each application with some sort of chapstick or lip balm is, of course, essential. What a miracle worker this turned out to be!
