Nostalgic Beauty Products

My fellow beauty blogger, Jeni at Savvy Skin, had a great post yesterday about her favorite products from her pre-teen/teen years. It got me thinking -- what were the products this beauty chick just couldn't live without as a youngster? Here's a sampling of what I was totally in love with back then. (And, actually, I still use quite a few of them to this day!)

Caress, Caress body wash, body wash, shower gel, Caress shower gel
1) Caress Body Wash: it smelled amazing, lathered up great and only cost about $4! And, ever since I first started using it in 1996, I've gone back to it again and again. Truth be told, there's always a bottle of it in my shower!

Bonne Bell, Bonne Bell Lip Smackers, Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers, Bonne Bell lip balm, lip, lips, balm, lip balm
2) Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers: Who could forget the smell and taste of this lip balm -- which was exactly like the tasty drink! And it's still a favorite today!

3) Bath & Body Works lipsticks: I was really partial to dark purple ones. With my coloring ... don't ask me why!

4) Jane mascara: It was about $2, which was definitely in my budget. And it really made my lashes look amazing.

5) Pantene Pro-V Shampoo and Conditioner (the kind that was supposed to leave your hair really straight and shiny): I never quite looked like the girls in the commercials, but hey -- at least it was a step in the right direction!

6) CoverGirl eyeliner: I loved the one with the clickable pen in both brown and black. Gave me a straight, smooth line every time!

Ahh, to be young again. What were your can't-live-without-it products back in the day? Let me know in the comments!
