Do
you know what that symbol means? I didn't, until I set foot in Paris.
But over my few days there, I came to know it intimately. It's none
other than the sign outside every pharmacy in Paris. But we're not
talking about a place where you can get aspirin, TUMS or fill
prescriptions from the doctor. We are talking about one of the best
places to visit in all of Paris for beauty products galore!
I was
fascinated by what constituted a drugstore product in Paris. We've moved
beyond the realm of Revlon, Maybelline and L'Oreal!
Upon my first entry into a pharmacy — or pharmacie, as the
French may have it — I was immediately greeted by Bourjois, Vichy,
Clarins and La Roche-Posay. I doubt that you'd find any of those brands
in a pharmacy or drugstore anywhere in the US!
Even more exciting were
the prices. For as little as 10 euros, you could find amazing products
by some of the top brands in the States. Does life get any better than
this? (Answer: Absolutely not.)
Say wwaaaattt!! Oh I so need to move!
ReplyDeleteJe t'aime Paris, and all the cool stuff there. Did you make it to the Annick Goutal store? My French SUCKS but I managed to drop a load of le cash when I was there. Fragrance has no language barrier, apparently.
ReplyDeleteLynne -- I know! I totally want to go back.
ReplyDeleteKaren -- I walked by Annick Goutal but they were closed that day. :-( But it looked AMAZING in there!! I could have spent at least $500 on beauty products in Paris, but luckily I kept it in check!
