Salon and Spa Directory: Dashing Diva

There are few things this beauty chick enjoys more than getting my nails done. I can think of nothing more enjoyable and relaxing than plunking myself down in an overstuffed armchair or on a comfortable couch and watching my toes be scrubbed, buffed and polished to perfection. So I was super-excited when I was invited to experience the wonder that is Dashing Diva. I had been curious about this nail chain for awhile, and this weekend I finally got the chance to check out the 8th Street location -- Dashing Diva's first!

The space itself is just so inviting, with pink tweed couches lining the pedicure lounge, spacious white tiled floors and fun, upbeat music blasting through the sound system. My eyes were immediately drawn to the abundant selection of nail colors available -- all 150+ of which are Dashing Diva's own!

I decided on the pretty, pinkish-mauve Sugar Plum Fairy for my fingers and then, in a bold move, chose Stellar Ella -- a fantastically gorgeous, shimmery navy -- for my toes. I then sat down on the pink couch and let my nail polish guru get to work. He scrubbed, he buffed, he exfoliated, he massaged ... and just as I thought my legs and arms would feel no better, they were meticulously coated with absolutely gorgeous polish! I highly recommend checking out Dashing Diva. There are four locations in New York, one each in Brooklyn, North Carolina and California, and international salons in Japan, Singapore and even Kuwait!
