It's quite a name, I know. Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Soapy Suds Body Wash + Bubbling Bath. Say that three times fast! But this body wash screams summer more than you would ever imagine.
Now, I love everything Bliss ... but I have to admit I was a little thrown by the inclusion of white pepper in this fragrance. However, it did win the 2008 eau-lection after 40,000 votes (customers were allowed to vote on three new fragrances to decide which one would become part of the Bliss line, and this one made the cut). So I figured it must be good! And I was right.
Notes of the aforementioned blood orange and white pepper combine with coriander and white musk -- interestingly enough, it was inspired by a cocktail the line's scent specialist had consumed once! The first time I squeezed out a bit onto my pouf, I was delightfully surprised. It's crisp, fresh and simply bursts with citrusy goodness -- the aroma of oranges filled my bathroom and made me feel that summer was actually here.
It's created with orange fruit extract, which contains tons of good-for-your-skin ingredients like Vitamin C, B complex, bioflavenoids, potassium, zinc, phosphorous and natural sugars. The pepper extract within the formula stimulates circulation. Plus it's the most delightful shade of bright, vibrant orange!
I will say that it takes a bit more than I expected to create a lather. I've been using the 16oz. pump variety and it's been taking a good 6-7 pumps to really get as soapy as I'd like. I do appreciate the fact that I don't come out smelling like oranges all day, though -- it's just a lovely fragrance for the shower that doesn't compete with my perfume.
