First Look Fridays: Beauty Blogger Cybele Parsignault of Cybelesays.com

I've long been a fan of Cybele Parsignault from Cybelesays.com -- and I think you will be, too! Read on to find out her favorite lipgloss, how she got bitten by the beauty bug and so much more!

Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
I grew up in Massachusetts and went to a small state college. Lived in Boston for a few years working in the music industry and then moved to Los Angeles to get a job at a record label and where I was a publicist for about 7 years. Left that a few years ago to work in fashion and current day job is in entertainment marketing.

How did you first become interested in beauty?
I’d always been interested in finding the best of the best of anything and everything and only really became super curious about beauty after I moved to Los Angeles.

Why did you decide to start your blog?
The site started as a column in Mash Magazine in 2000 and when the magazine was folding in 2001, I had to decide if I wanted to continue it on my own or fold it too. I decided to continue creating the layout and published monthly from February 2001 until May 2007, when it went daily and to the true blogging format.

What have been some of the highlights of having your blog?
Appearing on KABC News a bunch of times doing on-camera beauty features. More than anything else, I’m thankful to have an outlet and continued passion for trying out beauty products.

What brands can you simply not live without?
Kiss Me Mascara
Terax Crema
M.A.C Pro Longwear Lustre Lipcolour
T3 Tourmaline Hair Dryer
Tarte 247 Lip Sheers
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
Soapy Soles
Hair Therapy Wrap

Are there any other beauty blogs you read regularly? What are some that you like and why?
