The pomegranate has long been one of my favorite fruits. As a child going through the rigors of Hebrew school (I grew up fairly religious, and went three nights a week after a full day in public school), I learned about the significance of the pomegranate in Judaism. It's one of the Seven Species, a collection of fruits that are special to the land of Israel. From being mentioned in the Songs of Solomon to being shown to Moses as a sign that the Promised Land was rich and fertile, the pomegranate is one of the most important fruits in the Jewish faith. It's even said to have 613 seeds (a very important number in Judaism, as there are 613 Mitzvot, or good deeds, one strives to perform in life).

So, naturally, it comes as no surprise that I would be completely enamored of the Crabtree & Evelyn Pomegranate Body Wash.

This body wash is so fragrant, so lush, it simply cocoons me in the scent of pomegranate all day long. A blend of citrus and English mistletoe give it a beautifully deep richness. A dime-sized amount on my pouf and I’m instantly transported to an exotic, mythical world inspired by the lusciousness of the pomegranate.

I love the packaging, too. Crabtree & Evelyn have decorated the large tube in a falling snowflake design that’s just perfect for the holiday season. It brings a bit of sparkling cheer to my scalding winter showers.

Crabtree & Evelyn Pomegranate Body Wash retails for $16 at crabtree-evelyn.com.

  1. I would like my wife to have it. I am in the Army and just recently returned home. My wife has been busy with the kids and does not get much time to pamper herself. I think she is well deserving for this item.

  2. Really it is nice to hear that the body wash contains moisturizing ingredients like shea and cocoa butter, glycerin, mistletoe extract and tangerine peel oil. I don’t think it’s overly scented at all. I don’t really like ultra strong fragrances because it reminds me of old ladies. But I really liked this one–it fills up my whole bathroom with holiday-ness.
