Little Luxuries: Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Candle

"I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany." -- Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Okay, all jokes aside, the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Candle is one of my favorite acquisitions as of late. I love the utter luxuriousness of this candle -- it really does look as though it belongs in an old library filled with leather armchairs and, yes, leather-bound books.

A blend of saffron, raspberry, thyme, olibanum, night-blooming jasmine, leather, black suede and amberwood create a leather-inspired aroma that somehow still seems light and airy. The scent permeates the room without feeling cloying or heavy -- it's definitely not one of those candles whose scent will linger after being blown out, which I appreciate.

A burning time of 30 hours ensures many nights of sensuous delight -- perfect for cozying up by the fire (or, okay, the TV) with a cashmere blanket and a battered copy of War and Peace.

The Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Candle retails for $85 at bergdorfgoodman.com.
