Holiday Gift Guide: Laura Mercier Warm Roasted Chestnuts Candle

I look forward to Laura Mercier's limited-edition holiday candles all year. No matter which scents are created, they always really say "holidays" to me ... and, of course, they smell amazing. Such is the case with the Laura Mercier Warm Roasted Chestnuts Candle.

A blend of roasted chestnuts, nutmeg, spicy berry, clove and warm vanilla completely envelop the room and just make it feel so homey. I've been lighting the candle for only 20 minutes or so every day and my entire apartment smells absolutely incredible! I recommend lighting it just before bed so that your bedroom smells absolutely delicious. The only problem is it might make you hungry!

If you're looking to really get in the holiday spirit, this candle is definitely the one for you. And I have to say, the burn time of 40-50 hours certainly doesn't hurt.

In Which I Discover the Amazingness of Diffusers: Votivo Honeysuckle Reed Diffuser

When I was young, I discovered honeysuckle. Sweet, fragrant, intoxicating honeysuckle. My next-door neighbor grew honeysuckle along the side of her house, and every summer, I would stoop down and breathe in the incredible aroma. The flower always intrigued me, least of which because you can actually eat it. (I never tried.)

But one thing I've stayed away from until very recently? The diffuser. I've always been a candle person -- for as long as I can remember, they've fascinated me. I've cultivated quite the collection over the years (BURN, Dayna Decker, Diptyque, Tocca the list goes on and on). One of the lines I've always loved, but never realized just how deep the love could go? Votivo.

This diffuser leaves a room smelling exactly as though there were a honeysuckle bush in the room -- and I'm instantly transported back to my childhood in Cleveland.

I'll admit that in the past I really didn't understand the point of a diffuser. Why not just light a candle? But when I discovered the Archipelago Botanicals Pink Grapefruit Mini Diffuser and Votive Set, my life was forever changed ... because this set has the best of both worlds! A diffuser and a candle are delicately nestled in a beautiful box -- but that's the least of the amazingness.

I'm totally enamored of the gorgeous scent. It's crisp and fresh -- and the diffuser lets out the constant aroma of grapefruit without feeling at all overpowering. It's amazing to me that cedar sticks dipped inside a jar filled with fragrant water can let out such a powerful scent -- but they do! I'm now a total diffuser convert.

I have an unbearable obsession with candles. I seriously can't get enough ... they can be found all over my apartment, from my bathroom windowsill to my nightstand to my kitchen to my living room to my ... okay, you get the point.
