Salon and Spa Directory: Fix Beauty Bar

Blowouts with simultaneous manicures and pedicures. It's such a novel idea -- and a totally genius one! Enter Fix Beauty Bar.

I really love the layout of the space. The new spot on the Upper East Side is chic, sophisticated and super fun to boot! It's designed in white with accents of what I like to call "Bergdorfs Purple" -- and, as a purple lover, I definitely responded well to this color combination. A square-shaped manicure table sits in the middle of the room, with salon chairs set along the outer edge. This is where the good part comes in -- because, while your stylist is blowing your hair out on one side, your nails are getting the luxury treatment on the other!

And the treatments, oh, the treatments. My blowout with Yester was actually amazing -- I asked for pin-straight, flat, shiny hair and she delivered. I'm now on day 3 of the blowout and it looks just as incredible as it did on day 1! And my manicure is absolutely flawless -- Shirley clipped, buffed and polished to absolute perfection.

Not to mention the nail polish lover in me was definitely happy with the polish selection. A whole wall is lined with the newest, hottest, latest nail polishes by NARS, Chanel, Tom Ford and Dior, in addition to the normal Essie. But, really, there was no choice for me -- it was Chanel all the way! (Stay tuned for a post on my manicure.)

Now, I'm sure you're thinking that treatments here must be pricey. Well, you would be wrong! Blowouts are only $40, while a simultaneous manicure is an extra $15 and a simultaneous pedicure is $35. Fix Beauty Bar also offers conditioning treatments, at-home services, party opportunities and even multiple package and member options.

Thankfully, I live two blocks away from Fix Beauty Bar -- which is good, because I plan on being there a LOT.
