It takes a to pull me away from my trusted Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. A LOT. So when I tell you that these two lip balms have made their way into my beauty arsenal, they must be good, right? Right.
So, admittedly, this is marketed as a lipgloss, not a balm. But I'm here to tell you it's much more balm-like! The consistency is close to that of whipped butter, and it's a pretty shade of pale pink -- very girly and fun, and perfect for Valentine's Day (as this is definitely a product that was created specifically for that holiday). Even the packaging is adorable, with silhouettes of a man and woman about to kiss inside of an oversized heart. (And, no, I'm not a fan of V-Day in general.) But I digress. The balm (or gloss, excuse me) glides effortlessly onto lips and stays put for hours. It softens, it smooths, it nourishes, it conditions, it moisturizes ... basically, it's a miracle worker. Oh, and it tastes like cinnamon. (Lush says it tastes like mandarin and almond, but it just seems cinnamon-y to me, so I'm sticking with that.) In short? This is one you'll want to snap up before it disappears.

I may be in my 30s, but I can't help it -- I still giggle like a little girl when I see the word "nipple." But, once I got past the initial giggles and actually squeezed some of this onto my pout, it was a different story altogether. This product was originally formulated for nursing mothers to soothe their sensitive nipples, but the cult favorite has become a soother for everything from lips to cuticles and calluses! I'm loving the way it feels on my lips -- it's not waxy or tacky, and it's tasteless, so it doesn't seem medicinal. I received it in my Birchbox this month, and I'm definitely glad I had the chance to check it out!
