In case you weren't aware, I love bold nail polish. Sure, there's a time and place for red and pink -- but, for the most part, I like to make a statement with my nails. In recent weeks, I've tried everything from bright blue to sparkly black -- and these are the swatches to prove it. Read on for my reviews of butter LONDON The Black Knight, Deborah Lippmann On The Beach and OPI What Wizardry Is This?.

butter LONDON The Black Knight is one of those colors I was just DYING to try. The black base sprinkled with turquoise, silver and pink glitter was just too incredible to resist! And while I do absolutely love this color in person, I must warn you that it's a bit tricky to apply. It's seen here with FOUR coats -- even three were still not completely opaque. Once on the nails with multiple coats, though ... just WOW. Such a stunner (and one that garnered multiple compliments over the week I wore it -- with minimal chips, I might add).

Deborah Lippmann On The Beach is just one of those really gorgeous turquoises. It's creamy, it's opaque, it slicks right on, it's perfectly beautiful in two coats. The bright hue is arrestingly fabulous.

OPI What Wizardry Is This? is one of the brand's now famed Liquid Sand colors. It's originally from the Oz The Great and Powerful collection that released earlier this year. I dragged my heels a bit on buying it, which is crazy because IT IS AMAZING. Like all the other Liquid Sand colors, this brownish gold hue dries to a matte, sandy finish. (Side note: I tried this with top coat and did NOT like it that way.) It has almost a leather-like effect when it dries, which I just loved.

  1. These are gorgeous colors! I've wanted On the Beach for a long time. butter London Black Knight is one I just purchased during the Ulta promo. I wish I had longer wear time with butter. The glitters especially, seem chip prone on me. Not sure why? But some of the colors are so pretty and unique I just can't resist.

    1. I've had chipping issues with butter as well. I think if you don't use butter's base and top coats, the colors don't stay on as long. But I've found that I can prolong the color with CND Stickey and Seche Vite!
