Salon and Spa Directory: Glam Salon

For my birthday party this year, I needed some super special hair. I headed to Glam Salon, located in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood, for a big, bouncy blowout.

I was immediately impressed with Glam for the level of professionalism showed by the entire staff. I was greeted by a bubbly receptionist immediately upon walking through the door, and the good attitude continued throughout my entire experience at the salon. My stylist, Ray, was uber-cool and super friendly. When I explained that it was my birthday and I wanted fancy hair, she immediately got it. And let me just say, she pulled out all the stops!

After a washing and conditioning with Bumble and bumble products, I was led to Ray's station ... and that's where the magic began. Ray expertly blew out each and every strand, somehow adding shine and bounce to my locks that I didn't know existed. She then twirled sections around a 1" curling iron to create tight curls that would fall just enough by the evening to turn into pretty tendrils.

My curls post blowout. There's only one word for this: LOVE!

I walked out of Glam feeling like a million bucks. And the best part? My curls lasted for four days!
