#ManiMonday: Essie Toggle to the Top

I have a deep rooted affinity (read: obsession) for sparkly red nail polish. It's a hue that always, ALWAYS speaks to me. And Essie definitely does it the best. The brand already knocked it out of the park in 2012 with Leading Lady, a deep scarlet embedded with glitter flecks (and one of those polishes I just can't seem to stop wearing again and again). And now Essie has done one better with Toggle to the Top.

Toggle to the Top is a gorgeous crushed garnet liberally packed with red glitter. I absolutely love the red on red -- it just makes this polish stand out from the pack of colors with silver or gold glitter. The red flecks add so much depth to the already rich hue. This is definitely one of those colors that makes you stare at your nails incessantly.

This nail polish was sitting on my nightstand since November. I really can't believe it took me so long to try it out! My only excuse is that I was waiting for the right moment to have it make its debut (or so I'm telling myself so I don't feel guilty about not wearing it sooner). But this is definitely a color I'll be wearing again and again (and again) in the future.
